ST52 /ST52.3 Honed cylinder tubes
ST52 honed cylinder tubes are precision tubes made from ST52 steel grade, following the DIN 2391 standard. ST52 is equivalent to ST52.3, and these tubes are typically referred to as cold-drawn seamless honed tubes according to DIN 2391/ST52-BKS. The “BKS” designation indicates that the honed tubing undergo a stress-relieved heat treatment process to enhance their durability and performance. E355 honed tubes are precision cylinder tubes manufactured from E355 steel grade, complying with the EN 10305-1 standard. E355 steel is equivalent to ST52 / ST52.3. These honed tubes are typically referred to as cold-drawn seamless honed tubes per EN 10305-1 / E355 +SR, where “+SR” indicates the stress-relieved heat treatment applied to enhance the tubes’ strength and performance.

SAE 1020 Honed tube
SAE 1020 cylinder tubes are precision honed tubes made from SAE 1020 steel, which is equivalent to the Chinese steel grade 20#. While SAE 1020 honed tubes are less expensive, they still offer reliable performance in a wide range of applications. SAE 4140 honed tube
SAE 4140 honed tubes are cold drawn seamless honed tubes made of alloy steel grade SAE4140. 4140 honed hydraulic cylinder barrel tubes usually are used for applications under high pressure & heavy duty. As the tensile strength and yield strength of SAE 4140 is very high. Steel 4140 is equal to German steel grade of 42CrMo.

27SiMn honed tubing
27SiMn steel also can be used to produce honed tubing, though not as popular as ST52.3 /E355, this material of honed tubing is idea for some special applications.
27SiMn steel material chemical composition: C: 0.24-0.32%, Si: 1.10-1.40%, Mn: 1.10-1.40%.
27SiMn steel material mechanical properties: tensile strength min. 980 MPa; yield strength: min. 835 MPa; elongation after fracture: 12%; reduction of area: 40%; impact energy: 39J.
27SiMn honed tubes are also used for high strength applications.
20MnV6 honed tubes
20MnV6 steel also can be used to manufacture hydraulic cylinder honed tubes. It is a carbon-manganese steel micro alloyed with vanadium, generally supplied in the black hot rolled condition with a typical tensile strength range of 600 – 790 Mpa and a high typical yield strength range of 440 – 650 Mpa. 20MnV6 honed cylinder tubes usually is used for Super high strength applications.
