1) Product standards:
Stainless steel instrumentation tubing (Seamless) is usually manufactrued and inspected under below standards:
- EN 10216-5 TC1/TC2, EN 10305-1(for tolerance)
- ASTM A 269, ASTM A 632
- PED 97/23/EC, AD 2000
- NACE MR0175
Other requirements, standards on customers requests.
2) Size range:
Outside diameter of instrument tube: 2 mm to 63 mm
Wall thickness of instrumentation tube: 0.5 mm to 10 mm
Length: Instrumentation tubing is usually supplied in straight tubes with fixed length 6 meters, but other lengths also is available on customer's request. And seamless stainless steel instrumentation tubing also can be supplied in coil as seamless coiled tubing.
3) Materials / steel grades:
Instrumentation tubing is available in a wide range of stainless steel grades both in AISI & EN/DIN/ISO standards as below:
ASTM / AISI: 316 /316L, 304/304L, 321/321H, 316Ti, 347 / 347H;
EN/DIN: 1.4301/1.4307, 1.4401/1.4404, 1.4541/1.4878, 1.4571.
Instrument tubing also is supplied in duplex steel and super duplex steel grades as duplex stainless steel pipes.
ASTM / AISI: S31803, S32750,S32760, 2205, 904 / 904L.
EN/DIN: 1.4462, 1.4410, 1.4539.
Other steel grades on request.
The most popular stainless steel grade for instrument tubing is 304 / 304L and 316 / 316L.
4) Delivery condition:
Instrument tubing with O.D up to 38.1 mm is usually delivered in bright annealed condition as bright annealed tube.
And for O.D larger than 38.1 mm is delivered in solution annealed and pickled condition.
