Stainless steel gas tube for pure gas lines mostly are stainless steel bright annealed tubes or stainless steel mechanical polished tubes. And for ultra high purity gas tubing, people will usually use electropolished stainless steel tubing (EP tubes).

Materials of stainless steel gas tube

Mostly the most popular material of stainless gas tube is AISI 316L, because 316L stainless steel tubing has stable composition and high performance of corrosion resistance, which greatly ensure the purity of the gas in the tubing.

Besides 316L stainless steel tubing, we also manufactures stainless steel high purity tubing in materials of 304 / 304L, 316 Ti, 321 /321H and so on. 
Besides ASTM standards, we also produce pure gas tubing in stainless steel grades according to EN standard as 1.4401 /1.4404, 1.4301/1.4307, 1.4541, 1.4571 etc.

Surface Finishing & Surface Roughness

 Younglee’s supplies stainless steel gas tubing in below three surface finish upon customers’ requirements.

·  Bright annealed (BA tube)

Bright annealed stainless steel tubing is supplied with bright inner surface and outer surface. The surface roughness of tube inner can be Ra 0.3 μm to 0.8 μm upon customers’ request.

·  Mechanical polished 

Inner mechanical polished tubing is supplied with surface roughness max. Ra 0.6 μm.

·  Electropolished (EP tube)

Electropolishing stainless steel tubing is mostly used as ultra high purity stainless steel tubing. The roughness of EP tube can be as good as surface roughness Ra 0.2 μm.
